.URUKUST is both a design studio and a workshop for leathercraft products managed by Yasue Tsuchihira.
All .URUKUST products are created from design to prototype in her own studio.

.URUKUST handmade leather goods harmonize simplicity, function and style. Our innovative designs focus on simple structures that eliminate the unnecessary. Our full grain leather is vegetable tanned to our own uncompromising specifications, producing a unique, durable leather that feels luxurious, withstands daily use and ages beautifully. All .URUKUST leather goods are made in our own studio with the finest craftsmanship. We are committed to helping people understand the importance and joy of craft design and production.

TWIST BAG SERIES
TWIST is one of our minimalist 2-way handle product series that has one pair of straps attached to the body with two screws. Then a handle can be turned to change its length so that the bag can be held by hand or on the shoulder depending on your feeling or how heavy you have packed the bag.

Started leather craft at age 13. Studied design at Kuwasawa Design School and started working in the field of bag and accessory design. Founded .URUKUST in 2011.
2012~ Adjunct instructor in product design at Joshibi University of Art and Design
2014 Established Ueda-seisakushitsu Inc. and opened a showroom in October, in partnership with FLANGE plywood
2017 First book "Making Leather Bags, Wallets, and Cases: 20+ Projects with Contemporary Style" published
2023 Second book “Minimalist style leather goods” published
