[Natural Vegetable Tanned Pigskin]
Pigskin used for this product is tanned leather with natural scars and scratches from the pig left untreated. Pigskin is light, breathable, resistant to friction and great for multi-purpose products. However, it often has bite marks or other scratches from the pigs rubbing the body, so it's often less regarded than cowhide. In order to make pigskin products, people have been using all kinds of methods to hide the scratches. But the scratches are what makes pigskin unique. So we apply no additional coloring or any sort and keep the natural leather as it is. Our pigskin is tanned with no chemicals but with natural tannin from trees. You can see it become amber as the color changes over time.

【Steer oiled leather】
This leather is tanned using vegetable tannins, a method rarely used in Japan. .URUKUST original leather is produced after extensive discussions with tanners. Japanese raw hides are used, giving it the perfect elasticity and smoothness. Treated with light oils, it is lightweight yet gives off an elegant luster with use.

All of our leather is natural. As a result, it has varying textures and may have slight blemishes, unevenness of color, or wrinkles.
